Specifications of the Firescreen B120E
The primary objective of a fire shutter is to protect people and property by containing a fire and prevent it from spreading. Firescreen® B120E fire shutters achieve this through a connection to the central fire alarm system, so it will close and form a physical barrier between fire compartments on receipt of an alarm signal.
Applications
Firescreen® Fire Shutters are used as a fire-resistant and burglar-proof closure in, for example, industry, office buildings, government institutions, airports and warehouses. To prevent a fire from spreading within a building, Firescreen® Fire Shutters are used to compartmentalize large areas with a physical barrier. They are also suitable for the daily burglar-resistant closing of wall and façade openings so that in addition to 120 minutes fire resistance, these roller doors a burglar resistance class up to RC4 can be achieved. This makes them suitable for the security of buildings with a high risk profile, such as banks, jewellers and museums.
EW Criteria
Firescreen® B120E; fire-resistant roller shutters not only meet the flame containment criteria (E), but also the heat radiation is limited to a maximum of 15 kW / m2 (W). This prevents heat radiation on the non-fire side of the roller shutter preventing spontaneous combustion and the spread of fire throughout the building. Firescreen® B120E fire shutters are therefore suitable for creating fire compartments and tested according to EN 1634-1.
