With open building structures, such as care institutions, hospitals, schools, offices or theaters, traditional fire separations can be very decisive for the appearance of a room. But, according to the Building Decree, compartmentalisation is indeed a requirement. This dilemma between appearance and function can be solved by using Firescreen® Fire Curtains. These are a roll-down, fire-resistant, curtain made from high quality fireproof fabric. Because Firescreen® fire curtains are very compact, the required installation space is limited and can be incorporated discretely into the building. Firescreen® Fire Curtains therefore offer you an affordable alternative to conventional systems, such as fire-resistant walls, fire-resistant roller shutters and fire doors. Even a sprinkler system is in most cases no longer necessary. Smoke Curtains
The most dangerous factor for people during a fire are not the flames or the heat, but the smoke and toxic gases that are released. Especially in the initial phase of a fire these are the most common cause of injury and even death. To prevent the spread of toxic smoke in a building, Smoke Curtains provide a solution. In the event of a signal from the central fire panel or local smoke detectors, these smoke curtains automatically roll down and ensure direct smoke compartmentation. To prevent fire from spreading further within a building, fire shutters can be used to compartmentalize large areas. Firescreen® fire shutters automatically close through a connection to the central fire alarm system or by local smoke and temperature sensors.Firelock fire shutters have the benefit of being suitable for the daily (burglar-resistant) closing of wall and façade openings in your building with a very high burglary resistance class up to RC4.
